Chiropractic can help acute injuries and improve function in joint movement.

With kids now returning back to school and getting more active, it's not uncommon for musculoskeletal injuries to occur.  It's a great idea to check in with your local chiropractor to make sure your body is in working order, that way you can support your body's healing and recovery.

Why is this important?

If you're injured, the most common protocol is to do I.C.E., or put a band-aid on.  The Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, in a recent article (2020), talks about how musculoskeletal injuries alters/inhibits the signaling and the joint mobility/movement.  This article also looked at how joint manipulation, a.k.a. adjustments helped improve the function of the affected joints and musculature.

What does this mean?

This means that injuries will alter your biomechanics for everyday life.  If your child hasn't been active since virtual learning started and now is back to in-person classes or physical activities; they have an increased chance of getting injured.  These injuries may have long term consequences on your kid's well-being and capacity.  If they're getting injuries resulting from sports, poor posture, falls, school, then you may consider calling your Chiropractor care to address these issues.

What if I'm not a kid?

It doesn't matter what age you are, movement and exercise have been shown to improve quality of life and longevity of your body's joints.  Injuries can and will happen at some point, the question to consider is:

"What can I do to enhance my recovery & healing processes so that I may get back to enjoying my activities?"
